Whether it’s McLaren Vale Shiraz, Coonawarra Cabernet, or Clare Valley Riesling, his wines are expressing the essence of the vineyard and variety in a style that is big, rich and complex, but also with finesse, texture and elegance. Hewn of centurion vines on the alluvial soils of the Dogridge estate. Hand picked, 85% of the cuveé crushed atop 15% whole bunches, facilitating a partial carbonic effect of florals and red pastille. Yet there is more, with an undercarriage of spindly tannins doused with dried herbs and pickled raspberry. A richly flavoured wine offering a thrust of fruit, a parry of structural attributes and good value.
