Press Review

Tim Gramp Watervale Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Matured in a mix of French and American oak, none of it new. Only 317 dozen produced. Freshness is the key here. It bursts into life with boysenberry and blackcurrant flavours, the fruit sweet and jellied but well tempered by notes of peppercorn and gum leaf. This is frisky with flavour, in the most positive of ways.

Tim Gramp Watervale Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Clare Valley cabernet sauvignon, basket pressed and then into a combination of French and American oak for 30 months, none of it new. Only 317 dozen produced, remarkably.
It’s a solid, reliable, well-weighted red. Not wimpy in any way but not overdone either. Boysenberry and blackcurrant with gum leaf and cloves. No overt sign of oak; it’s all about the fruit, served fresh, and with a good feeling of energy too.
