Sons of Eden Romulus Shiraz 2018
Positively Romulan. Moppa 50+ year-old vines, Menglers Hill 85+ year-old vines, Light Pass 85+ year-old vines. 50% new French oak.
Black fruit, liquorice and dark chocolate, some toasty bacon and coffee cream oak, plenty of spice, some mint and floral top notes. It’s rich and flavoursome, slightly saline, a gummy grip to lavish fine-grained tannin, toasted hazelnut and a little regional tar on a long smooth finish. Very good.

Sons of Eden Romulus Shiraz 2018
Hand harvested from 60–80+yo vines in Light Pass, Moppa and Mengler’s Hill. Matured 18 months in 50% new French oak hogsheads; unfiltered. Packed with all the inimitable hallmarks of Barossa shiraz: mettwurst, licorice, high-cocoa dark chocolate, coffee bean, satsuma plum and blackberry. And a full, vibrant purple hue, to boot. Dense and full, well directed by firm, finely structured tannins that propagate a long finish.
