Pretty clove and pepper nose with a rich bramble fruit taste. The palate is full-bodied, rich and structured, the acidity on point. Long, toasty finish.

Sons of Eden Remus Shiraz 2017
Always the spicier, more fragrant of the twins, SOE's 2017 Remus Old Vine Shiraz takes that character to what seems like new highs, with hints of peppermint, bay leaf, rosemary and cracked pepper that swirl about a core of raspberries and red plums. Medium to full-bodied, it's generous and supple yet elegantly structured, with silky tannins and a lingering, refreshing finish.

Sons of Eden Remus Shiraz 2017
To qualify for inclusion in this wine all vines must be 50+yo and managed sustainably. This comes from three vineyards, two 60+yo, the third 80+yo, so there's no issue on that score. The palate of the wine tells you the vines are in good health. The tannins are polished and fine, the fruits sombre but composed, the balance good.
