Press Review

    Sons of Eden Kennedy 2019
Grenache 49%, Shiraz 28%, and Mourvedre 23% from quite the diverse range of mainly old vine vineyards. Always a solid performer.

Ripe cherry and plum, spicy biscuits, a smattering of dried herbs and grilled meat. It’s supple, dark in fruit, ripe but with an earthy/savoury edge, some raspberry acidity, and a slightly sooty, saline and spicy finish offering flesh and length. Good drinking.

    Sons of Eden Kennedy 2019

49/28/23% grenache/shiraz/mourvèdre. Hand harvested from 20–100+yo vines from 9 vineyards spanning the Barossa floor. Matured 12 months in seasoned oak hogsheads and puncheons. Quintessential GSM that encapsulates the full sweep of personalities of the Barossa floor in red and dark berry fruits of all kinds, sweet spice and dried herbs. Ripe fruit flesh, firm, fine-grained tannins and warm alcohol bring together a finish of balance, harmony and crowd-satisfying appeal. All-purpose barbecue quaffer.
