SOHO Estate Sauvignon Blanc 12pk 2016
Rachael Carter founded the winery with the intention to create something that was sexy, fun and quality focussed - and she hasn’t let herself down. Family-owned vineyards from three of the best NZ wine regions combined with award-winning winemakers who are specialists in their realm, have resulted in 58 gold medals since the establishment of SOHO wines in 2009. With a focus on white, aromatic varieties and Pinot Noir, SOHO also offers a wider range of styles and price points for Chardonnay, Rosé and other red blends.
SOHO Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2016
It’s pretty easy to understand the popularity of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, well, the better ones, anyway.
Passionfruit, tinned grapefruit, nettles and a whiff of sweat – the usual suspects – in a riper and juicier style. It’s fresh, carries a little sweetness, has a bit of crunch and tang, and finishes well enough, with more of that tinned grapefruit in syrup flavour. Pretty good.
