Located at the furthest tip of the Mornington Peninsula, the estate is a truly unique property facing Bass Straight near the famous Back Beach of Mornington. The property had been owned for generations by the family of Vigneron and Proprietor Warwick Ross, who established their own winery on the site in 2010. Warwick is also well-known for his other passion - filmmaking, in particular, the sensational documentary Red Obsession (2013). Winemaker Tim Elphick has nearly two decades experience both overseas, in famous regions such as Barolo, and in Australia in Mornington and Yarra Valley. Read More

Portsea Estate Estate Pinot Noir 2018
Excellent colour. By some distance the richest of the Portsea Pinot Noirs in this difficult vintage. It is crammed to the gills with dark berry fruit salad and ripe tannins. The vinification was in the usual vigilant Portsea Estate approach, so this is a statement of place. It is very different to Birthday Hill, but of similar quality - the choice is personal.
