Press Review

    Main Divide Chardonnay 2020
Aromas of toasty barrel with vanilla and brazil nut, roasted stone fruits and baked apple, citrus and brown baking spices. Fullbodied, creamy textured, youthful and delicious. A lovely example with just enough power and intensity, acidity and core of fruits to present a balanced and well made with flavours of oak and lees, baking spices and toasty wood on the finish.

    Main Divide Chardonnay 2020
Char, toasted grains, orange blossom perfume, Robust palate with oak tannin structure, roasted peach flavours and weighty mouthfeel. Full bright gold, lemon honey on the nose, quite weighty, full ripe style on the palate, nice zesty youthful acidity cuts thru the wine. Very ripe, integrated oak.

    Main Divide Chardonnay 2020
It's complex and engaging on the nose showing apricot, lemon peel, baked fig, almond and subtle flinty characters. The palate displays excellent weight and juicy fruit flavours backed by bright acidity, finishing long and attractive.

    Main Divide Chardonnay 2020
Attractive nose with oak scents, oatmealy/nutty characters and ripe fruit supporting the whole. Fresh acidity gives a tingly feel to the tongue, a coolness to this too, yet develops a lovely creaminess on the mid-palate along with some toffee and caramel. An almond/apricot kernel bittersweet note frames the long, crisp finish, getting the salivary glands going.

    Main Divide Chardonnay 2020
Full-bodied, creamy and delicious, Main Divide Chardonnay always overdelivers on flavour and value for money. Handpicked grapes were whole bunch pressed into large French oak puncheons and fermented with wild yeasts then matured on yeast lees for nearly a year. It’s a consistently outstanding wine and extraordinarily good value for its modest price.

    Main Divide Chardonnay 2020
Bright, pale straw-yellow with depth, even colour throughout. The nose is softly full with intensity, aromas of peach and citrus entwined with smoky flint, roasted nuts and toasty oak elements. Medium-full bodied, peach, nectarine melded with grapefruit zest, unfolding roasted cashews, toast and barrel spices. The wine is youthful with bright, upfront fruit; barrel fermentation enriched the flavours and palate weight, linger with nuts and barrel spice nuances to a long sustained finish.

    Main Divide Chardonnay 2020
Offering good value, this barrel-fermented, lees-aged wine is full-bodied, with generous, ripe stonefruit flavours, woven with fresh acidity, and well-integrated oak adding complexity. Still very youthful.
