Lethbridge Dr. Nadeson Riesling 12pk 2017
There are few tales as impressive as that of Lethbridge Wines. Ray Nadeson and Maree Collis were both successful medical researchers before succumbing to their desire to create a vineyard and winery in Geelong. They planted vines on their own rootstocks, built a straw-bale winery and house, and farmed the land according to biodynamic beliefs. Their wines are powerful, structured, pure and long-lived.
Lethbridge Dr. Nadeson Riesling 2017
Ripe quince, nashi pear and red apple notes are punctuated by apricot pith, sluicing across the palate on cylinders of juicy, natural acidity and a bit of pucker. Long. Emphatic. Textural. This is complex Riesling of an effortless intensity, seldom experienced on these shores. Palpably dry, with just a lick of sweetness to tame the acidic DNA of the variety.
