Elderton Ode To Lorraine CSM 6pk 2019
Elderton was founded by Neil and Lorraine Ashmead in 1982, and is now run by their sons, Allister and Cameron. Built around the famous Command vineyard in the centre of Nuriootpa, Elderton also has its own vineyards in Greenock and the Eden Valley. Julie Ashmead leads the winemaking and viticulture teams in crafting distinctly classic, yet refined, Barossa reds that live up to the estate’s history and world class quality.
Elderton Ode to Lorraine Cabernet Shiraz Merlot 2019
Barossa blend of mostly cabernet sauvignon (47%) and shiraz (46%) but with a dab of merlot (7%). All French oak, 15% new. All estate grown. Vine age ranging from 15 to 75 years. Ripe fruit flavour and lots of it, though everything remains neat and everything runs smoothly. Blackcurrant, saltbush and plum with clove, violet and chocolate notes littered judiciously throughout. What this wine offer is warm, ripe, straightforward delivery of bold fruit flavour. It’s good now but it has lots of years up its sleeve.
