Press Review

    Elderton Fifteen Shiraz 2016

The top Shiraz in the lineup is the 2016 Fifteen Shiraz, a hefty mouthful of licorice and mint-scented Shiraz. From vines planted in 1915, it's full-bodied, intensely structured and almost painful in intensity, yet the tannins are ripe, the alcohol levels are not out of hand (15%) and the oak has blended into the fabric of the fruit. With hints of grilled meat, dark fruit and mocha notes on the long finish, this wine should age effortlessly for up to two decades.

    Elderton Fifteen Shiraz 2016

A parcel of more than 100-year-old vines that has a very deep array of dark-berry and plum aromas, as well as earthy and dark stony notes. The intensity of fruit is so compelling on the palate with effortlessly powerful, silky and long tannins that hold the finish deep. Impressive, old-vine shiraz.
