Richard Langford | Barons of the Barossa 2018 Barossa Winemaker of the Year

Elderton was founded by Neil and Lorraine Ashmead in 1982, and is now run by their sons, Allister and Cameron. Built around the famous Command vineyard in the centre of Nuriootpa, Elderton also has its own vineyards in Greenock and the Eden Valley. Winemaker Richard Langford crafts distinctly classic, yet refined, Barossa reds.

Press Review

    Elderton Eden Valley Chardonnay 2017

An appley chardonnay with cooked pears, vanilla and cloves. Medium-bodied with a soft mouthfeel and a juicy finish. Drink now.

    Elderton Eden Valley Chardonnay 2017

Chardonnay off 25 year old vines. Craneford vineyard.

Well flavoured and formed. It moves through the mouth with some seduction. Stonefruit and melon, nuts and cedarwood. Creaminess to the texture though it remains lively. Mouthful of flavour. Musky vanilla note to the aftertaste. Decent.
