Tasmanian Winery of the Year - Melbourne International Wine Competition 2018

Gourmet Traveller Wine Viticulturalist of the Year 2018

The Bream Creek vineyard was planted in 1974 by Fred Peacock. One of the first commercial vineyards established in the Apple Isle state, it has long been considered one of the very best sites in Eastern Tasmania. Fred's premium cool-climate wines are concentrated and long, thanks to the mature vines and low yields.

    James Halliday's Wow Factor Whites

Estate-grown, hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, wild-fermented and matured in French oak for 9 months (20% new). Picked at perfect ripeness, white peach, melon and grapefruit all present and correct. No hint of the fearsome Tasmanian acidity. Double-gold San Francisco International Wine Competition '18.

What's your favourite way to enjoy this wine over the cooler months?

Fred Peacock: Our 2017 Estate Chardonnay, with its cirtus, stone fruit and integrated French oak flavours, is best enjoyed with family and friends cool, but not chilled, and is perfect with herb-roasted chicken, and equally enjoyable with slow-roasted pork shoulder.
