Winery Details

Made at the Lethbridge winery, Between 5 Bells is the brainchild of David Fesq, the 6th generation of a wine family with their origins as Negocients in Bordeaux. His ancestor Georges Fesq came over in 1848 intending only to sell his wares en-route to Sydney and then return to France having spread the seed of the First Growths of Bordeaux. 160+ years later, David has taken the family into a new genre of wine with his 5 Bells wines. The driving ideology of wine is neither of place or varietal. Rather unique wines of Australian origin that are simply delicious to drink.

Press Review

Between Five Bells White Wine 2019

“Pinot gris, fiano, riesling, chardonnay and pinot noir – a white wine. Hangs out in a foudre to bottling.

Has this really nice bitterness thing going on. Cucumber in tonic water, saline acidity. Tangy and fresh, a sense of complexity and has compelling texture. It’s a wine that has you pausing to check the corners of your mouth and reset your brain a bit with each sip. I really like it. Fresh in feel and composition.”

Peach-yoghurt and lemon-rind aromas here, leading to a smooth, creamy and textural palate that has plenty of body and an aromatic, polished finish. A blend of 59% pinot gris, 37% fiano and 4% viognier. Drink now. Screw cap.
