Trophy 'Best Regional Red other than Shiraz or Pinot Noir' - Ballarat Wine Show 2018

Best's Great Western Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Excellent colour; this is as supple and harmonious as a classy young cabernet can be. The fragrant spice and red flowers of the bouquet lead into a perfectly balanced, medium-bodied palate. Here, notes of tapenade and black olive hover on the fringe of the core of the blackcurrant of the palate. Oak has been economically used, none new detected.

Best's Great Western Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Best’s cabernet has become pretty reliable buying/drinking.
Solid as a rock. Ripe, fruit-driven, savoury around the edges and kissed with milky oak. It’s well-formed, well-made and well-finished. Curranty flavours in the main with mint, earth, malt and a subtle briary note. Recommended.

Best's Great Western Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

A beautiful array of wild cherries, cassis and blackberries with vibrant, fresh tannins that carry plenty of interest and depth. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
