Auvigue Mâcon-Villages Moulin du Pont 12pk 2019
The name ‘Auvigue’ was already known in 1629 in the vineyards of Beaujolais and Mâconnais. Today, the grapes come from family estates covering 6 hectares including two that have been organically farmed for over 20 years in the Mâcon-Solutré and Pouilly-Fuissé appellations. To allow each parcel to present the unique microclimates, Jean-Pierre and Michel Auvigue always adapt the vinification process to the requirement of each plot. The wines are only lightly filtered before being bottled to retain all the elements required for the development of their true Burgundian nature. Read More
Auvigue Mâcon-Villages Moulin du Pont 2019
A blend of grapes from Mâcon-Solutré and Pouilly-Fuissé. Importer: Fesq
Ripe yellow fruit with aniseed and a flowery top note. It’s generous in flavour, but stony things chime in and keep it tidy, a little chalk in with the waxy and subtly buttery texture, a sprinkling of hazelnut tops a solid finish. Ready now, and all up good drinking. Tick.
